Another Speed Study Techniques

Like many students, i have over the years developed a tendency to procrastinate in many of my classes. Having had years of experience writing multiple page papers the night before, i hope to help people in a similar situation by sharing some of my advice. The first thing to remember when putting off an assignment is the risk involved. "Procrastinating" is not a method in itself, it requires being proficient in many different things.

For example, being able to think on the fly is incredibly important, you do not have time to set up an outline and write a rough draft, the assignment is due TOMORROW and you have to get it done NOW. The ability to spill words onto a page in a fluid, well paced manner is the only way you will beat the deadline. But, no matter how fast you can write, you cannot expect to bust out a 10 page paper in five minutes, so be smart with your time. There is a difference between procrastinating and stupidity, keep this in the back of your mind.

In order to finish assignments last minute, you must be prepared to endure intense mental strain and fatigue. It is important to not let yourself fall asleep and lose motivation. Drink coffee and have some sort of stimuli like music going in the background. Remember, this is almost like a game, you are putting your mental agility and typing ability against the clock!

In my personal life, i needed help perfecting my methods. I turned to a technique by Dr. Marc Dussault. He points out many little things you can tweak about yourself and the way you operate to notice a huge overall change. There is nothing to lose by trying something different, change can be a good thing!
